I posted last week or so that I suspected my valve guides were leaking. That was after a long conversation about the simptoms and some diagnosis by myself with Greg Dupree. I had pulled the balance tube and saw the traces of oil in the plenum. COmbined with my other symptoms and motor miles---it all pointed to valve guides. Yesterday at the track...i had to pull an intake hose to rob a clamp from the hoses coming from the dual pop...i pulled both hard pipes coming from the turbo...OIL EVERYWHERE. I mean it was dripping out. NOT GOOD!!!!! This indicates to me...bad turbos...as i dont think there is any otjher way for oil to make its way into those pipes. KIWI YOU WERE RIGHT! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I dont know what im going to do. Car is making OK power...went 124 MPH yesterday BUT it should be going 127-128ish on the bottle and 123 ish off....and its not! I have a problem thats for sure....i dont know what im going to do to fix it before May 11 AND the June convention :-( It does not look good. I dont know how much longer these turbos will boost. I dont care about racing on them as they just leak oil! Im going through plugs with the NOS which could be the source of my 50 hp poer loss or so. My plans are to build a 3.2 liter motor...and WAS to use these turbos with a bigger AR and make 650-700 RWHP on the bottle (100 shot) but i dont know if I want to take a chance on a rebuild. Im not saying to hold off buying HKS GT series stuff....but these turbos only have 10 k mi on them....YES the boost has been turned up BUT its been within reason. I dont go out boosting in 4th gear all the way to 140 every street race I get into LOL! I dont think i have abused them anymore than most here would. I must say...Im confused. Oh well....this is gonna be $$$$$$$$
